Dave is home from the hospital

We brought Dave home from the hospital this evening. If you didn't hear, he had his appendix out yesterday.

Correction to Adam's mailing address

The following is a correction to Adam's mailing address:

I think this is the correct way to send him letters and packages. He didn't give his unit # or the correct zip code in his blog. Also, the post office will not accept packages or letters without return name and addresses...... I learned a number of things today trying to send a package out to the boy.....

Sad day

After a hard day at work, finding out that my car wasn't ready to picked up again today, and not much going on in my world, I sit down to find out what is on all of your minds and happening in your day, only to find that none of you have blogged today. Sad, sad, day. And now you know just how pathetic my life has gotten.....

Memories

Dad and I were working in the yard this morning. He was using the weed whip and I was cutting grass. I was nearly finished with the front yard and I looked down and there was a tick on my shirt. I immediately flashed on a memory of Tom and a particulary enterprising tick. Anyone else remember where it ended up?

I could've died

So, the other day at work I was working with this machine. It's a gasoline pressure sprayer, with a kerosene boiler, to heat the water. I was minding my own business when all of a sudden I hear this BBOOOMMM, and a tremendous amount of heat. Suffice it to say I take off running, and cursing up a storm. We aren't entirely sure as to what happened, but apparently the kerosene boiler exploded into a giant fireball, which caught the machine on fire too. Luckily we quickly turned off the machine, and the fire died. I could've died cause I was only six feet away when it happened! Not gonna use that thing again.

Hey! Is anyone else having trouble with the links to John's blog? I don't seem to be able to get to it no matter what link I use or by throwing in the web address. I'm starting to have withdrawals here! Someone needs to help!

Andie/Andy

You know, it's a good thing Madelyn decided to be born early. If she had made it to March 4th, I wanted to name her Andie... Tom dating a girl named Andie wouldn't be a problem if the rest of the family would get on board and call Drew by his "correct" name. Talking to Mom, the Andy/Andie problem has already come up twice. First I thought Drew was coming to Buffalo, but then I couldn't figure out why he needed to take the SAT...

If we're all going to be confused anyway, we might as well have some fun with it...Dave can find a girl named Melissa and Adam could find a girl named Amy. And you know, I had a roommate in college named Tomi Ann, so if John never gets a boy, he can name his next girl Tomi since it meets the 4 letter requirement...we will eventually be reduced to grunts and pointing to get each other's attention. Haha.

I love it when a plan comes together! Kay and Anson are coming in on June !st too! So now what does everyone want to do while they are here? Dad and I will both be taking at least the 1st week of June off -- assuming I am back to work by then, so what does everyone want to do?

My first mission companion was Elder Bunch. The ward called us Bunch of Payne while we were together. They didn't know what to call Elder Meier and me.
